So I talked about why you might wanna increase your intake of vitamin K two, but how do you do that from foods? You can’t get vitamin K two from green leafy vegetables. So where can you get it? Here are the top five foods in vitamin K two. Number five is grass fed butter. Not necessarily easy to come by. Regular butter has little to no vitamin K two, but if you can get it at the right time of year, if cows are eating grass, the butter will have vitamin K two in it. Number four, egg yolks, but again, especially grass fed. There are certain times of the year these are challenging to come by. Your average store bought egg will have a smidgen of K two. You probably have to eat about a dozen of those to get any. But in the height of the summer when you can get eggs with those lovely orange yolks, very high in vitamin K two. Number three, goose liver. So things like goose liver pate, or even FO gra. I know it’s controversial from an ethical standpoint, but this is one of the highest foods in vitamin K two. Goose liver is chockfull of it. Number two, here’s where things get fun is cheeses. Not all cheeses, but there are some that are really high in vitamin K two because the bacteria that makes the cheese also makes K two brie burg, aged guta and edem. Top the list of K two rich foods. Many types of blue cheese have also tested high in K two, and number one is nato. The Japanese fermented soybean food, it’s eaten as a breakfast food in some areas of Japan. Studies have shown that this makes a difference in the health of the people that eat it. It is a unique taste and texture. If you haven’t tried it, I encourage you to try it.
